Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Woodloes Primary School

We are a two-form entry primary school with a Nursery, called Saplings located just outside Warwick. We are a larger than average primary school but we ensure that every child is nurtured and supported and that everyone’s individual needs are met.

We are a successful school with high aspirations for our community. We believe that education is transformational and schools play a critical role in ensuring every child has the opportunity to develop their full potential and be inspired to pursue a world full of exciting possibilities.

We are a community primary school and we are very proud of the excellent partnership we have with our parents and the wider locality. We are a member of the Community Academies Trust and also work closely with other schools across Warwick and Southam because we believe partnership and collaboration leads to innovation and excellence.

In our most recent inspection, Ofsted judged the school to be good with outstanding features reflecting the high standards and quality of care that is long established at our school. They said; “Children in the early years receive an excellent start to school life. High-quality teaching and excellent pastoral care enable children to make exceptional progress in all areas of learning”

We were also very pleased that they recognised; “Pupils attitudes to learning are excellent”, “pupils celebrate their differences and treat everyone with respect and kindness” and “the behaviour of pupils is outstanding”.

Our curriculum is ambitious, engaging and memorable equipping children with the skills they need to ensure they are ready for the next stage in their development. Our PHE curriculum is very strong enabling children to know how to be safe and develop as kind, compassionate and caring individuals who know how to ‘work hard and be nice!’. We believe strongly in equality and inclusion and promote British values to ensure that our children know how to treat everyone with kindness and respect. Everyone is given a warm welcome when they come to Woodloes and new arrivals, whether they are children, staff or visitors are always quick to make new friends and become part of the family.

Our website contains lots of information about who we are and what we do but I would invite you to make contact or visit the school if you would like to know more and get a real sense of why this school community is so special. Alternatively, please have a look at our school video below and enjoy!
