Reception Intake September 2024

Welcome to our new families. We are really excited about you joining our Woodloes community.
To help you navigate this transition to school and so you can meet the team we have the following dates for your diary.

Throughout June -  Teacher visits to nursery settings.

Thursday 20th June 6pm-7pm. Parent information evening. This is strictly for the grown-ups; it would put the children off for good!  Information about Reception and how we learn,  National curriculum etc.

Thursday 27th June and Thursday 4th July 3.30pm-4.15pm. Stay and Play (definitely for the children)- so your child can visit the setting with you and have a play and create  a positive memory of their new school.

Home visits. The first week back in September we come to visit each child in their home. We find this creates a positive start to their relationship with us and gives us something to talk to the children about when they are in school for the first few weeks.

Dates for the home visit will be emailed to you by 12th July.

Meanwhile, please email the school office at admin5207@welearn365.com telling us your name and contact details along with your child's full name and what nursery they currently attend so we can arrange a nursery visit.

We look forward to meeting you soon.

Justine Valentine EYFS lead (on behalf of the Early Years Team)
