The school is currently open for pupils in Saplings, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. We are also continuing to support our vulnerable pupils and children of key workers. Thank you for supporting us and best wishes and good health to all our families!

In true year 1 style, we would like to end the year on a high and what better way to do that than by dancing...

As part of our PE/wellbeing in school we have been dancing to 'Just Dance' clips on YouTube and 'Wacka Wacka' has proved to be very popular - so we have decided to have a dance off with all the children and staff in school at the moment. We will be doing this the last Tuesday of term - weather permitting at 2pm. (if it rains we'll post a new time) Although we are not all together, it would be great to think of us all dancing to the same song at the same time. If you want to film it and send a clip to us (send it to Year 1), with your parents permission in an email, we'll post your clips on the website.

So, get practising and let's have one last dance together.

Message from the Head - Mr Mitchell

Welcome to the Woodloes Primary School website!

You will have noticed that the purpose and use of our school website has changed significantly in the last few weeks. We were in the process of updating the website but this has been postponed temporarily as the site has been adapted to provide 2 key functions for our school community:

1. To act as a notice board for vitally important messages and important information and,

2. To act as a virtual classroom to support a continuation of learning and progression for all of our pupils.

The school is closed for the vast majority of our pupils for the foreseeable future but once we are in a position to re-open we will re-purpose the website and update the content again to provide the usual range of information about our school community.

In the meantime, please take care of yourselves, stay well and our best wishes go to you and and all of your family.

 Mr Andrew Mitchell

(Head teacher)

Supporting your child's reading at home
During our current school closure, children are able to access a vast quantity of digital reading books, either through Phonics Bug (EYFS & Y1) or Accelerated Reader (Y2 onwards), with up to 5000 different titles which have AR quizzes available. Please use the links on this homepage to access these virtual libraries, using your child's log in details. If you need further information on log in information, or how best to support your child with their reading, then please email via the year group email address. Please note that children should use the AR link below to log into the school's allocated AR webpages.
New Forest School activities for everyone have been added to the Virtual Classroom

Keeping our children safe is our number one priority especially during the school closure. Our safeguarding team, comprising Mr Mitchell, Mrs Stevens, Mrs Lambert, Mrs Furlong and Mr Clark still meets every week(online) to share information and support our children and families.

Ordinarily, if needed, we can be contacted at any time at school but this isn't possible at the moment. With this in mind we have set up a new safeguarding email address for anyone to use if they have any concerns about the safety and well-being of any of our pupils. One of our DSL team will be on duty to monitor this address and we can be contacted on:

Please remember, if you believe a child is at risk of imminent harm then you should always call the police on 999.

If you have any concerns that any child is suffering from any form of neglect, abuse or cruelty then please contact Warwickshire Children's services on : 01926 414144 or visit for more information.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and we are now more reliant on each other to stay safe and well than we have ever been. Take care, notice things, stay safe.
