Accelerated Reader
Our Accelerated Reader quiz facility will be open for children to log into during the school term dates to allow for quizzing during home learning. All children who have a current AR log in will be able to log into the Accelerated Reader website using the link below. Please ensure that all children fully complete the reading of any books before they quiz.
QUIZZING WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE DURING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS UNTIL THE END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR IN JULY.
Your child may also be reading other books at home that they can quiz on. Please log into arbookfind.co.uk to check if a title is available for quizzing. We would strongly recommend that children only quiz on books within their current ZPD level. The ZPD level for a book will be on arbookfind.co.uk and children should have their ZPD band with their log in details. There is also a list below which children can use to cross reference their colour bands within the ZPD score. Please email the school if you or your child are unsure of their ZPD band.
Lime 0.0 - 1.9 ZPD
Orange 2.0 - 2.9 ZPD
Dark Blue 3.0 - 3.9 ZPD
Gold 4.0 - 4.9 ZPD
Turquoise 5.0 - 5.9 ZPD
Purple 6.0 - 6.9 ZPD
White 7.0 - 7.9 ZPD
Grey 8.0 - 8.9 ZPD
Black 9.0 +
We advise students complete quizzes unaided. If parents/carers wish to support their child, they can do so in the following ways:
- Discuss the book with their child as the book is being read
- Ask their child to read the question aloud
- Re-word questions for their child, if necessary
- Ask their child which answers are not correct
- Encourage their child to look back through the book for answers.
NB: If you are asked for an administration password then please check that you have clicked on the Accelerated Reader tab and NOT Star Reader.
