Weekly spelling and phonics home learning in Y2
From Wednesday 30th September, all children will be bringing home a spelling home learning book. A weekly page will be set here on the website and it is expected that all children should try to complete the activity during the week. The activity can be marked by an adult or older sibling or relative using the answers at the back of the book. It would be really beneficial if the children could discuss any mistakes they have made and correct them in a different colour.
These books should remain at home until we request that they are brought into school.
If you have any questions, or require further advice then please send us an email.
Wednesday 30th September - complete pages 2-3 Words ending in y
Wednesday 7th October - complete pages 4-5 Short vowel sounds
Wednesday 12th October - complete pages 6-7 or and ur
Wednesday 19th October - complete pages 8-9 soft c
Wednesday 4th November - complete pages 10-11 soft g
PLEASE CONTINUE WORKING THROUGH THE BOOK BY COMPLETING A DOUBLE PAGE EACH WEEK. IF YOU HAVE A PHONICS QUICK CHECK BOOK, THEN PLEASE ALSO COMPLETE A DOUBLE PAGE EACH WEEK OR MORE IF YOU WANT TO!
