Welcome to Spring Term B in Year 2
Our theme this half term is..
SPLASH ATTACK!
Our main text will be The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. You can listen to the story by clicking on the book above. There is also an excellent animated version of the tale on the BBC Iplayer.
Remote Learning From 8th March 2021
 
Remote learning for children in Year 2, who remain at home due to Covid regulations, will be provided via email. Please contact the school if your child needs to access this.

Free ebooks access for your child to read at home.
You should be accessing Phonics Bug or MyOn at home to support your reading progression. Please click on the links below to log in.
Please also click on the link below to access Oxford Owl ebooks to read at home. Your child will need our class log in and a suggested level so please email if you would like this information.

Onside Coaching have created a free resource to use at home. These include short videos suitable for all ages to get you moving at home.
We have now been given access to a wonderful resource called Learning By Questions. This resource hosts lots of online learning tasks that cover the children's maths and English curriculum requirements. Please click on the link below to try it out. If you are unsure about which lessons to work on, send in an email and we can direct you to the lessons most suited to your child.

Please note that this is just a suggested timetable as we appreciate that this may be difficult for everyone to follow. However, if possible, it would beneficial for the children to access their daily English and Maths activity and to read.

PHYSICAL EXERCISE

Our PE lessons are on a Tuesday and a Thursday. You can work through some of these activities or go for a walk or a bike ride. Or play a game in the garden or park.
